Youth employment in Europe: Ensuring effective infrastructure to provide young people with equal and ample opportunities

The 39th National Selection Conference of EYP Greece will be held in Athens, between the 19th and the 22nd of April 2019, with the Officials’ Training taking place on the 18th of April.

Under the theme "Youth employment in Europe: Ensuring effective infrastructure to provide young people with equal and ample opportunities", 120 delegates from Attica and other Western & Central regions of Greece as well as an international team of Officials will gather for a 4-day NSC in the capital city of Greece.

The European Union has freely decided to be characterised by omnipotent and omnipresent values such as the respect of human dignity, freedom, democracy and equality. Thus, to ensure that youth employment is promoted, providing equal opportunities to its citizens  could not be absent from its agenda as two of its primary goals. The Session’s theme reflects upon this pan-European effort to rebuild the Union’s workforce and create new and more flexible plans that will be based on lifelong learning and high level apprenticeship.

The session will be head-organised by Vasilis Farsarotas, Nicolas Moraitis, Sofia Sdrali and George Taggilis, while Sofia-Xeni Kathareiou will be serving as a Member of the Executive Board of EYP Greece.

During a session, a lot changes, not only emotionally, but physically. This is what our Journalist Maxine Buchert wanted to capture in this project - the natural progression and change of spaces occupied by the teams and committees of Athens 2019, while it went on!

We would like to thank Lever - Σύμβουλοι Ανάπτυξης and ATLAS Security for their great support to our session.
Lever S.A. has been a pioneer in the area of business consulting and strategy development, ideals inseparably connected with our session's theme and goals.
Atlas Security is a leading entity in the area of security services with great respect towards society and its workforce. Its support and provision of equipment has been a great assistance for our event.

Without the support of those organisations our session would not have been possible. Thank you!

We hope you enjoy and have a laugh with this great project!

Municipality of Agios Dimitrios provided us with the venue for the days of Committee Work and General Assembly. We were more than honoured to have it among our sponsors, continuing our partnership that started last year!

We were more than honoured to be hosted by Deree - The American College of Greece, during the CJOs and Teambuilding days. The great premises of Deree were the ideal place for both Officials and Delegates to spend their first day at the session and engage themselves in activities that made them bond and create solid teams. We would like to thank Deree for supporting EYP Greece and Athens 2019.

Enjoy!

One of the Journalists of the Session, Asimina Antoniou, created a video exploring how one's idealisations often clash with the reality of being a first-time delegate, and the way these experiences shaped their further EYP progression.

We hope this lovely project sparks your interest!
