Extended Preliminary Round Breda 2018

23/11/2018 to 25/11/2018

An Extended Preliminary Round starts on Friday for the Officials, with an afternoon of CMO training. The delegates arrive on Saturday morning for Teambuilding and Committee Work. There will be eight committee’s and eight solo chairpersons. On Saturday evening there will be Eurovillage and an evening program. General Assembly will be held on Sunday. Editors will head a small media team and the delegates will be selected by a small Jury.

The second Extended Preliminary Round of EYP the Netherlands in 2018-2019 will take place in Breda from the 23rd to 25th of November for Officials.

"Late November there will be an extraordinary session in Breda, where we (Pien Kiliaan & Tom Suelmann) both grew up. Located in the province of Brabant, Breda is a city with a lot of history. Besides, it is very European orientated with the Belgium border only 15 min away by car, Antwerp 50 min by train and Paris is a train ride away with the Thalys. The municipality of Breda is also very keen on exploring all European opportunities, which gives us a great chance of hosting an extraordinary session in this lovely welcoming city. In Breda, we want to give participants the most valuable and appropriate EYP experience we can offer, whilst fostering personal development for all officials. That is why we want to schedule more time for CJ training. In addition to that, we envision a fully integrated officials’ team, which we want to achieve by extensive CJO TB."

Hoorn: During Holland's 'Golden Age', the port of Hoorn was an important home base for the Dutch East India Company and a very prosperous centre of trade. The ships of the Hoorn fleet plied the seven seas and returned laden with precious commodities.

Inspired by the YouTube sensation 73 questions by Vogue, two of our journalists, Charlotte and Cilia, gave some of the officials of the Extended Preliminary round in Zundert, the chance to find their inner celebrity. Take a look to discover everything you've always wanted to know about EYPeople but never been able to ask!
Huge thanks to our stars (and kings and queens of spontaneity) Arne, Jan and Dorian for spilling all in front of the camera!
