Cooperation as a Catalyst for Change

Luxembourg 2018 is the 1st International Forum of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) Luxembourg which will take place from August 29th (28th for officials!) to September 5th 2018 (departure day), in Luxembourg city. It will gather over 200 young people from all around Europe, to discuss topical and relevant issues affecting the EU today.
The session theme Cooperation as a Catalyst for Change enables us to raise awareness about the importance of working together and initiate debate that will cause impact concerning the challenges polarising the European Union today.

"Was lange währt, wird endlich gut" is a beautiful expression in German, meaning that something is worth waiting for, even after a long time - and here we are, with the last photo album from the session. Taken at the Gala Dinner after the General Assembly, these photos show the last time all the participants of the Luxembourg IF spent time together, with lots of food, banter and speeches.

Now that the session is over and all the participants are back into their daily life. We would like to take the opportunity and once again thank our partner KPMG Luxembourg for the trust, energy and dedication they have put into this project. We are convinced that the result of 2 years of hard work would not have been the same without you as a partner.

At the evening of the first day of General Assembly, the participants got the chance to speak about topics of their choice, similar to the "TED Talks" format. The evening was very informal and gave room for insights into less common topics, where people could reflect on their experiences and share them with all other participants.

"In this project, delegates were challenged to reflect on their mindsets and paint it only
using basic shapes and lines. This project aims to stress on how important it is to stop and think about how you feel sometimes to enhance your perception of life."

While the participants enjoyed the party and the music inside, the Media Team set up a photobooth outside to capture all the smiling faces in front of the beautiful nightscape of Luxembourg.

"We gather thousands of objects in our lifetime. Some we discard, some we cherish. Some ordinary things become incredibly meaningful to us and us alone. How does that happen? What is it about a ring or an ordinary hairband that makes them incredibly important to specific people? We gathered meaningful items from anonymous delegates at the session and asked different participants to identify the possible ways in which these items could have great meaning someone."

"This short documentary about the History of EYP Media is made with the aim of showing people the changes EYP Media has gone through within years. This journey is a very inspiring one, showcasing how there is always room for progress and imagination. In order to explore this journey, I talked with the
people who have been a part of EYP long before me and had the chance of observing the development of EYP Media.
