"We can't live on without the rhythm" -LSD

Just like the band said, we need rhythm in our lives. In fact, we do have one. Everyone has a rhythm in their lives. A different one. Different rhythms as each rhythm resemble one another. These rhythms are like our heart beats. Every single of them has a different beat. Every single moment of our lives represents a part of the beat. We hope you got the vibe as well from Samsun 2019: A new part of beat to your rhythm.

“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.” -Susan Sontag

Here is a project where one of our journalists Bade tried to slice out some of the moments from the conference and freeze them. We hope to make you re-experience some of them. Warning! This project includes so many pictures of the sky.

"Innovation and Society: Redefining the norms in a globalised environment"

For centuries, human kind survived thanks to the development of new technologies. It is an undeniable fact that innovation and society are complementary things. Without innovation, there wouldn't be such a developed society. Two of our journalists asked themselves how would an EYP session would look like without the innovation of the last years and they wanted to visualise it in a project. Here is a short film about it.

If you had the chance to make this world a better place, what would you do?

This was the question asked by our journalists to the participants of the session. The session theme was "Innovation and Society: Redefining the norms in a globalised environment". Generally innovations make this world a better place and that was the motivation behind the question.

Before the conference participants were asked to bring unique objects that were special to them to the conference. The objects brought represented peculiar personalities of the attendees and with this project, I wanted to highlight the differences thus the uniqueness we have. I wanted to remind the participants of the fact that in EYP, everyone is welcome regardless of their differences surrounding us because after accepting each other the way we are that is when we have the power to achieve something.

Hollywood? No, but it's close. Atakumwood? Yes, that's it.

Some movies are just legends. We can watch them forever and they never get old. During the session, two of the journalists wanted to recreate some scenes from those movies but this time with a little bit of EYP. Have you ever imagine how would the movies look like if they were filmed by EYPers? Here it is if your answer is yes.

A chairperson is more than a leader. They are the fathers and mothers of the committees for the whole session. As they say chairing is caring. One of our journalists wanted to appriciate the hard-working chairpersons of Samsun 2019 with a project.

In this project, you can find every committee having a one final message to their respective chairpersons. Just not to forget, we love you. We hope you enjoy the video.

Two weeks ago today, the session ended. Samsun 2019 was a blast and it left amazing memories behind. Every participant had a chance to develop themselves and learn new things while having one and making life long friendships.

After the session ended, the media team decided not to post to give the participants an empty week in order to think about their experience and reflect on what happened. Now, it is our utmost pleasure the announce that there will be a week full of projects and posts.
