A big thank you to Marja Mortensson, who gave us two performances during Trondheim&Røros2017 - 84th International Session of the EYP.

Our goal of having Sami culture present and to have the participants learn about the indigenous people of the Nordic, was greatly achieved with the attendance and performance of this lovely artist!

The closing ceremony of the conference included a large chant of all 300 participants of a quote they learned from Marja; "Where the words end, the joik begins!"

Thank you Marja Mortensson!

On the final day of General Assembly, Lerøy provided us with sushi for all the participants!

It was amazing to be able to provide the participants with something so iconic such as salmon, especially right after the committee on fisheries had proposed their resolution on sustainable aquaculture in Europe.

Lerøy started with a single man selling his fish at the fish market in Bergen in 1899, and is now a global distributor with offices in the US, Asia and Europe. They also have daughter companies in Sweden, Finland, Spain, France, Portugal and Turkey!

Julien S. Bourrelle came to our Opening Ceremony to give insight into how Norwegian social interactions are perceived by a foreign eye with humor and comedic situations.

Thank you very much for the time spent with us and giving the Opening Ceremony a light and laughter filled atmosphere. He as many of our other guests was given a print bye Emmeselle. The print was a great representation of some of the sami representation we had during the conference.

The last two days of the session involved all the participants gathering together to present, discuss, even consolidate and amend their resolutions. Their hard work paid off!

There used to be a time in the European Youth Parliament (EYP) where the participants lived in private homes when going to international sessions, such as Trondheim&Røros2017 - 84th International Session of the EYP.

Since changing from host families to staying at hostels and hotels one doesn't often get treated to homemade food. Kari Konstad and Kari Bollandsås Selbekk, two mothers, made sure we were treated to some at the conference. They supplied over 300 cinnamon buns and 300 oatmeal cookies.

We hope you liked them! #TRØ17
