Towards a Better European Community with Nordic Collaboration

Turku 2018 - The National Session of EYP Finland will be held on 5–8 January 2018. The session will gather almost 200 young people from all around Finland and Europe to discuss important matters under the theme 'Towards a Better European Community with Nordic Collaboration'. The session is head-organised by Elsa Mäki (FI) and Paula Närvänen (FI). The president of the session is Tim Backhaus (FI).

Yesterday marked the end of Turku - National Session of EYP Finland 2018. However, thanks to the Media Team led by Editor Anthony Fedorov, we have a lot of pictures to share and look back on! There's still more to come, so make sure to keep an eye on the Session page 😉

Last, but definitely not least we are happy to introduce to you our fourth Patron for Turku - National Session of EYP Finland 2018, Pekka Haavisto. He is a Member of the Finnish Parliament who has served as a minister twice. Along with that, he has participated in multiple peace projects around the world. Currently, Haavisto is running for president in the presidential elections in Finland. Thank you for the support!

She is the Minister of Transport and Communications at the Finnish Parliament. EYP Finland and the Head Organisers would like to thank her for being part of the Session!

The next Patron of our National Session is a very special person to the host city as she is the Mayor of Turku. The role of the Mayor is to direct the city’s administration and economy as well as the operations of city organs, bureaus, institutions, personnel and other city functions. It is time to introduce to you the first Patron of Turku - National Session of EYP Finland 2018, Karolina Lång! She is the President of The Youth League of the Finnish Norden Association (Pohjola-Nordenin Nuorisoliitto).

The Finnish Norden Association is a nonpartisan youth organisation with the objective to promote Nordic cooperation and bring Nordic youth together. We are very happy to have Karolina as a Patron of the Session!
