"[...] EYP needs to make its programs more accessible to people from poor socioeconomic backgrounds and minority groups. A special focus should be put on recruiting immigrant students who do not hold citizenship in their countries of residence and therefore often do not feel addressed by traditional forms of political activism. The project “Understanding Europe” can serve as a low-threshold means to reach a wider and more diverse audience. All in all, the focus on inclusion and outreach already represented in current EYP policy should be enhanced."
