"[...] EYP needs to make its programs more accessible to people from poor socioeconomic backgrounds and minority groups. A special focus should be put on recruiting immigrant students who do not hold citizenship in their countries of residence and therefore often do not feel addressed by traditional forms of political activism. The project “Understanding Europe” can serve as a low-threshold means to reach a wider and more diverse audience. All in all, the focus on inclusion and outreach already represented in current EYP policy should be enhanced."

It's time.
The Head-Organisers of the 2019 Sessions of EYP Austria have been selected and we want to finally introduce them to you.
From tomorrow on we will present one pair of Head-Organisers to you every day. The first post will go online at 17:00 CEST on Regional Sessions of EYP Austria.

We are very excited to open the Call for a Statutes Working Group and Understanding Eu-rope Trainers.

The Statutes Working Group is a temporary working group consisting of law students, which will aim to review and renew EYP Austria’s legal documents. This group is led by Michael Ernst.

The Understanding Europe Trainers will lead free workshops in different settings, which should aid to further the understanding of the European Union of students. This team is lead and trained by the Understanding Europe Coordinator of EYP Austria Sophia Weiser.

On June 3rd EYP Austria held its General Assembly.
On this day the attendees could look back on the past academic year and its events and also have a peek into the future by electing a new board to represent them.
One of our members, the lovely Ali Nourouzi, took over the role of the photographer at the event, to let all of you get a glimpse at the 2018 GA of EYP Austria.

In the last days of May, our members departed to the small and beautiful town of Langenwang for our annual Member's Weekend. During these 3 days the participants could not only learn a lot of new skills in various training, but also catch up with old and new friends.
To give all of you a little insight in this event, Thomas Micheler has created a video compiling some of the highlights of the Member's Weekend 2018.
