An article from 20 years ago about EYP and the 1999 National Session that year from The Irish Times.

Our National Session is coming up on 14th April and our mission hasn’t changed. To give young people the opportunity to take part in discussions about relevant and complex European issues while learning about the politics and the European Union 🇪🇺

At our Munster Regional Session of EYP Ireland last month we placed a large emphasis on energy and fostering a green culture throughout the weekend.

This could be seen in many of the academic topics, as well as the use of our 'green organiser' Donagh O'Callaghan, who gave a talk to our participants at the beginning of the session about how we can take a more active role in reducing our carbon footprint and become more eco-friendly.

We would like to thank Bord Bia - Irish Food Board and the Origin Green sustainability programme for sponsoring the topic on International Trade at our Leinster Regional Session of EYP Ireland

There was active discussion on food sustainability in light of Brexit, not only from the delegates but from the sessions media team too.
