EYP Summer Academy: Call for trainers

The call for trainers for this year’s Summer Academy is now open!

The training event will take place from 16-19 September 2016 at Berlin Wannsee and bring together 80 board members from all over Europe.

We now invite all EYPers who are familiar with the work of National Committees and want to share their knowledge to apply to join the event as a trainer!

We are looking for one coordinating lead trainer, four lead trainers for the four different training fields in the event, and an additional team of seven trainers.

The Chairs' Team and the Media Team of Laax 2016 - selected!

We are truly delighted to finally announce the Chairs' Team and the Media Team of Laax 2016!

Both Selection reports listing all the selected candidates and outlining the selection process has been attached to this post.

The Chairs' Team will be led by Franziska Maier (Germany). The Media Team will be led by Karin-Liis Lahtmäe (Estonia) and Waltter Roslin (Finland).

Congratulations to Ilya Kursenko and Ida Ståhl for their new position as Members of the Governing Body, as well as to Jeroen de Marteau, Jelena Stevanovic, and Dorothea Weber who were elected to the Board of the EYP Board of National Committees.

In the BNC Board and early GB elections, 34 out of 37 National Committees have cast their vote– a turnout of 92% that has remarkably improved compared to previous elections.

The brand new Understanding Europe websites of European Youth Parliament España (EYPE) and EYP the Netherlands are now online. Check them out on http://understandingeurope.eype.es/ and http://eyp.nl/understanding-europe/ and see the fruits of their efforts. Within the project, both National Committees will offer 4-hour EU Crash Courses to schools in their country free of charge from autumn onwards.

Any plans for this summer, yet? Registration for this year’s Summer Academy, taking place from 16th -19th September in Wannsee, Berlin, is now open for your National Committee’s selected Board Members.
After you have chosen the members you would like to send to Summer Academy, please fill in the registration survey on http://polls.eyp.org/summeracademy2016 until June 28. It will form the basis of a new modular training programme.
